Michael is an American architect registered in California, New York, and Hong Kong, with over 35 years of experience in the industry, nearly half of that in the Middle East and Asia. He is currently responsible for all Aedas operations in the Middle East.
Michael understands all phases of architectural design and masterplanning as well as international real estate development. He has handled integrated mega-resort developments, large scale master plans, and numerous high-rise and low-rise commercial and residential schemes. His portfolio encompasses a wide range of projects – from new construction to preservation of historic structures. Michael is particularly experienced in managing large scale projects and coordinating multiple consultants, contractors and client stakeholders. The challenges give him a solid understanding of inter-related design, technical, programmatic and business issues.
Michael is accustomed to work closely with creative designers from project inception in the very beginning and steer the teams through all stages of the process that transform the clients’ vision and the designers’ inspiration into built reality. He served as Project Director when Aedas delivered Venetian’s Cotai Strip integrated resort developments in Macau, and led the 360-bed Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi luxury hospital project after relocating to UAE in 2009. Michael is now responsible for all aspects of Aedas in the Middle East, giving him insight into the current state of the design professions and the global market in which they operate.
